Looking for a free, fun-filled activity to enjoy with the kids this summer? Grab your teddies, pack a picnic, and head down to Sprowston Recreation Ground on Friday 8th August, from 11am to 1pm, for a delightful Teddy Bears Picnic!
This community event is aimed at children aged 0–11, but everyone is welcome — families, friends, grandparents, and of course, cuddly companions of all shapes and sizes.
✨ What to Expect:
- Teddy bear adventures and outdoor games
- Fun activities to keep little ones smiling
- Plenty of space to relax with a blanket and a bite to eat
- A lovely chance to meet other families from the local area
And there’s more! Families connected to Sprowston Cluster Schools are also invited to take part in a Uniform Swap Shop. If your child is starting school this September, it’s a perfect chance to pick up second-hand uniform — or to donate outgrown items.
🎒 Participating Schools in the Sprowston Cluster:
- Cecil Gowing Infant School
- Falcon Junior School
- Frettenham Primary Partnership School
- Garrick Green Infants School
- Hainford Primary Partnership School
- Lodge Lane Infant School
- Old Catton CE Junior School
- Sparhawk Infant School & Nursery
- Spixworth Infant School
- Sprowston Infant School
- Sprowston Junior School

Whether you’re a local parent, grandparent, or caregiver, this is a wholesome way to spend time outdoors with the kids — and a great example of our local community coming together.
